Optical Clear Adhesives (OCAs) play a crucial role in the performance of electronic devices, particularly in smartphones and tablets. These adhesives are specifically designed for display panels, including touch screens, and are applied to a variety of materials such as glass, acrylic, polycarbonate, and films.

The main advantage of optically clear adhesive bonding technology is thinner bond lines. Where liquid optically clear adhesive (LOCA) bonding can achieve a bond line between 0.015″ to 0.030″, OCA bonding can get even thinner, achieving a 0.005″ to a 0.008″ bond line. This bonding capability is well-suited for components where thickness is critical, including cover glass, touchscreens, and frameless LCDs.

The effectiveness of OCAs directly influences display performance, making it essential for them to maintain consistent optical clarity. Additionally, they must resist delamination and the formation of air bubbles to ensure a flawless user experience. Achieving high-quality lamination that meets these criteria is vital for enhancing product manufacturing quality.

• Blade variation: 0.45 to 1.4 mm in thickness / 23.6 to 23.1 mm in height
  Standard edge angle: 40° to 43° (center blade, single edge, fluorine edge, 30°, 60°, and 90° are also available)
• There are also mirror-finish blades, with bespoke shapes as specifically ordered.
• It is also possible to cut thin films of only a few tens of micrometers in thickness.
